Beautiful old things for modern living

After thirty years as a top-producing real estate broker, I have walked through thousands of homes and I have always noticed one thing. Regardless of age, style, location, or price of a home, some homes simply have a certain je ne sais quoi. You feel it the minute you walk in. I grew up with a grandmother who was an antique dealer and a mother who carefully saved all those “good things.” The silver, the dishes, the beautiful history, lovingly preserved, but often tucked away and never enjoyed or appreciated. What I know now is this - life goes fast.

Use the good stuff.

I love seeing beautiful old things mixed right in to the way we live today. A piece of silver filled with fresh flowers. An old chest next to a modern table. Something with a little history and patina in an otherwise newer and simple room.

Not a lot of things - but rather - just the right things.

So join me here as I hunt for beautiful, interesting pieces, with some of my own collection available as well. Things with a story and a little soul that deserve to be brought home, used and enjoyed. Things that can give a home that certain je ne sais quoi!
