I love this piece! A smaller size super versatile romantic image in a gloriously overqualified gorgeous frame.
This charming late 19th - early 20th century decorative piece depicts a young woman playing a stringed instrument, after Conrad Kiesel’s “The Old Song.” The image is a hand embellished lithographic print on canvas, surrounded by an exceptionally ornate gilt wood frame with deep scrolling and floral detail.
The image is approximately 4” x 6” but overall with the amazing frame it is 9 3/4” x 8 1/4” overall. It has enough presence to hang alone or add character to a collected gallery wall.
Condition: Beautiful antique condition with age-related wear to the gilding and frame. There is a small corner chip as seen in the photos. These imperfections contribute to the wonderfully timeworn character of this very special piece.
