Antique W.H. Grindley Marguerite Flow Blue Rimmed Soup Bowl c.1891
A beautiful late-Victorian W. H. Grindley & Co. Marguerite Flow Blue rimmed soup bowl, made in England around the 1890s.
The bowl features richly saturated cobalt-blue floral transferware flowing softly into the white ground, framed by an elegant scalloped rim with original gold gilt edging. The wide-rimmed form and deep center make this a particularly attractive example of late-19th-century English Flow Blue, equally beautiful displayed on a wall or shelf or incorporated into an antique blue-and-white collection.
The underside bears the W. H. Grindley & Co. England globe trademark, associated with the firm’s late-19th/early-20th-century production.
Maker: W. H. Grindley & Co.
Pattern: Marguerite
Origin: England
Period: Late Victorian, circa 1890s
