Vintage Eales 1779/Leonard Silver Silverplate Champagne bucket
This substantial silver-plated champagne bucket has the classic look of an old-fashioned trophy cup, with gorgeous decorative handles, a wide, gracefully flared rim, and a beautifully detailed pedestal base.
The finish has a wonderful shine, and the simplicity of the smooth silver body really allows those beautiful handles and elegant shape to stand out.
Marked “1779” and “SILVER PLATE” on the underside, this piece is attributed to the Eales 1779 collection associated with Leonard Silver Manufacturing Company. The 1779 is part of the Eales trademark, not the year the bucket was made.
It’s a beautiful example of traditional silverplate, with a timeless design that works just as well in today’s homes.
Perfect for chilling a bottle of champagne or wine, but equally lovely displayed on a bar, sideboard, or dining table. I also love the idea of filling a piece like this with fresh flowers!
